The Janeva Cornell Room
This second floor room is a favorite of many. Named after Janeva Cornell, granddaughter of Wesley Cornell. Janeva was born on this property and there are many charming stories of her time spent at this country farm. Her grandfather built a special platform on the roof outside the tower where Janeva could be found reading. The red and white French toile wall covering with children playing about brings so much life to the room. The sheer drapes with embroidered Napoleonic bees add to the whimsy of this room. There is a white rattan queen size bed with matching bed side table, writing desk and chair and soothing sage green carpet. Small French doors take you into the private bath which is also decorated in the sage green and white motif, shower and porcelain pedestal sink. Sunshine streams through the arched window.
The Green Room
Our inn keepers thought it would be remiss to not honor Sandra and George Green as they were the adventuresome couple that purchased this property in 1986 and completely restored the farm house to the working bed and breakfast that it is today. They also built the wonderful barn on the property. This second floor room has the most delicate wedge wood blue carpeting, queen size bed with carved cherry French headboard, garden multicolored floral wall covering and silk balloon shade window treatment that take one back to a country summer weekend with Grandparents. The oak chest is a family heirloom of Mary Rappole’s. A writing desk and chair provide a great spot to send off a note to those at home. Check out the unique squirrel clothes hanging rack behind the door! The private bath with shower for this room has silvery blue and white ticking wall covering.
The Innkeepers Room
